FMA Sisterhood Ch 1: Prologue

Thunder rumbled through the clouds as rain poured over the town of Bellwood. For most, the town seemed normally quiet as some rushed into their homes to get warm while the rain pitter-pattered on the rooftops. The rain battered hard onto a small farm cottage as inside the cottage, a grey haired woman was preparing dinner. While two children sat at the dining table talking among themselves waiting to eat their meals, the toddler on the farthest right clutched her teddy bear yelping as she heard thunder booming outside. The woman turned over from her cutting and went over to comfort the petrified black haired girl who started to cry.

“Oh Annie, it’s okay. There’s nothing to be afraid of a little rain.” Thunder boomed again as Annie jumped into the elderly woman’s arms frightened. The woman looked at the table seeing her grandson looking at her confused, she then turned her attention back to Annie. “Annie, sweetheart where are your sisters..?” Annie sniffed wiping her tears with her sleeve, frowned in confusion pointing towards another cottage right across the street.

As she was about to open her mouth and ask if she knew how long they were going to be gone for, all of a sudden they heard a loud scream coming from nearby, causing the three to look out the window.

That sounded like… the woman thought to herself afraid knowing that must've come from the household next door. She knew that scream anywhere.

“Grandma…?” the blonde haired boy asked confused as Annie looked at the elderly woman confused.

“Come on you two, we have to go find them.” the boy looked at his grandmother worried as the three began to run. “Please don’t tell me they got into his stuff..” she muttered to herself paling at the idea, as she and the two children had run across outside towards an old abandoned cottage. As soon as they arrived at the house they heard someone crying, specifically a young girl, as they walked towards the front door. The elderly woman wasted no time and hurried into the house.

Inside the house everything was completely dark, as the woman closed the door behind them, after Annie walked in. The woman heard a faint noise that only grew louder turning into sobbing, as they went deeper in the house. Annie clutched her teddy bear tightly, feeling scared she clutched the woman’s hands.

“Stay close to me you two.” As they walked past a room they heard a girl sobbing. The woman stopped in her steps and turned to the door. She started to open the door, but hesitated for a moment before hurrying inside. Mrs. Benning paused as she scanned the hallway.

That sounded like it came in the basement...The woman thought to herself as they walked closer to the end of the hall and took a right towards a set of stairs, where they soon noticed a set of stairs that led down to the basement. As they got further down the stairs, Mrs. Benning paused when she heard a young voice speak through the door.

“D-D-Damn it…this…this wasn’t…suppose to happen.” Annie frowned in confusion as they walked closer to a door that was slightly open.

Big...sis..? Annie thought as the woman's eyes widened in horror creaking the door slightly to take a peek to see what was inside. She turned to the two children with a stern glance.

“Out of the way you two.” The woman ordered Annie and the young boy who looked confused as she kicked the door open causing the children to go behind her as Mrs. Campbell rushed into the room. Annie tried to follow her but was pulled back by her friend. The young girl looked at her friend confused as he gave her a stern glare but then looked at the direction his grandmother went off too. As soon as, the elderly woman entered the room she gasped in pure horror seeing the state of the room.

“Girls, where are you?” she exclaimed with worry wondering what in gods name happened in this room..

“Mrs. Campbell...” a girl’s voice said rather weakly. “Ov-O-Over h-he-here…”

Mrs. Campbell turned around and her eyes widened in horror the state she saw the girl in realizing who it was. “Tricia!” Mrs. Campbell gasped. “Oh god..what...what the hell happened here?” Identifying the young girl rushing over to her to help her. “Where is your sister? Tricia, come on please just tell me where she is.” Before Tricia could even speak and look up at her to explain herself. Annie and her friends had walked into the room curiously but the moment they walked in Annie dropped the teddy she had been holding in her hand and screamed when she saw what happened while the two boys and Mrs. Campbell’s eyes widened in horror leaving only her to gasp in horror at the sight of what they saw backing against the wall, clearly frightened.

Turning her head over to the young girl, she stared at Tricia with an unreadable expression.

“Tricia…what…happened here..?” She asked her horrified. Tricia could only look down in pure guilt at what she had done…

Nine years later...

"TRICIA!"

Fifteen year old Tricia Tennyson shot up from her bed, her body covered in sweat. The brunette glanced frantically around; she was in her old room. The sun shone down on her, its bright rays almost mocking her.

That night again.. Tricia thought with a groan, putting her metallic hand to her face to block out the sun rays that was hurting her eyes.

In the shade, laid a suit of grey armor that would tower over Tricia if it stood from it's slumped position.

“You..had that dream again didn’t you…?”

Tricia didn't say a word as she kicked off the bed. There was nothing but silence as Tricia got dressed for the day.

"Tricia, come on. I - "

"Let's go." Tricia said abruptly before she threw the door open and walked out of their shared bedroom, down the hall of their dorm room. A sigh left the suit of armor as it slowly stood up, as if it was like a puppet on strings to follow her. The armor slowly shut the door behind her.

"Tricia..." the voice said but Tricia ignored the suit of armor calling to her and proceeded to the living room of their dorm. The loud metallic footsteps caught the attention of a young black haired girl sitting at a table.

“Morning guys.” Annie said with a smile, her mouth full of breakfast. “Sleep okay?” Tricia narrowed her eyes at her and turned to sit on the couch as the suit of armor followed behind her. Annie raised an eyebrow at Tricia and then at the suit of armor who followed her. Tricia’s usually never this grumpy..did she have another dream or something?

“We need to talk about last night Tricia.” the suit of armor said Tricia turned over and glared at the armor.

”Not exactly in the mood to talk Tracy.” Tricia growled at the suit of armor who was now identified as Tracy. Annie smirked crossing her arms at Tricia.

“Geez.” Annie said with a chuckle. “What got you in a such a bad mood?” Tracy sighed looking at Tricia, who crossed her arms and then turning to look at her youngest sister.

“Later Annie, now’s probably not a great time.” Tracy said as Annie sighed, knowing she might not get an answer why.

“So what’s the plan for today?” she asked, trying to change the subject. Tracy and Tricia glanced at each other and shrugged.

“I don’t know, probably go to see the Colonel today.” Tracy answered. “Then maybe continue the search for the stone.”

Tricia groaned at the thought of facing HIM. Which, in reality, isn’t all bad...except when he’s ragging on reports and whatnot.

Tricia moaned, “Damn it, I really don’t want to hear Mercury ask if we’ve found the stone...and then say we haven’t found it yet like usual.” Tracy glanced at her sister.

“Well, you’re going to have to anyways. The sooner you go, the sooner we can hop on a train and continue our search.” Tracy said.

“Right…” Tricia sighed as she took a glance at the younger black haired girl. “Annie, you’re staying here in Central until we get back.”

Annie’s eyes widened.

“What?!” Annie exclaimed getting up from her seat. “Aww come on not again, I missed out on the last time you went off! I don’t want to stay with the Colonel again! Or even at Lieutenant Vermillion’s home. I’m not a little kid anymore, I’m twelve now!”

“Annie, twelve isn't exactly-” Tracy tried to explain as Annie glared at her two sisters.

“This is just important to me as it is to you two. How do you two suppose I feel about all of this?” She asked. For a moment there was nothing about silence until Tricia turned to look at her younger twin in thought, until Tracy spoke up.

“I hate to say it Tricia...but I agree with Annie.” Tricia heard Tracy say as Tricia looked at her surprised.

“...You agree with her?” Tricia asked in disgust.

“No, I don’t like the idea of her coming along. It’s risky putting a twelve year old on the line of danger like this as it is. But Tricia, you do have to remember we were fourteen when you joined.” Tricia looked at her sister with narrowed eyes.

“That was a completely diff -” Tricia protested but Tracy raised an eyebrow cutting her off.

“Is it though?” Tricia stared at her sister confused.

“Is it what?” Tricia demanded as Tracy shot a glare at her sister.

“Is it a different situation than us?” Tracy elucidated. “She grew up just like us, we are the only family she has left. How the hell is this any different than us?”

There’s no way in HELL I’m letting her get into this mess. Not if I have anything to say about it. Tricia thought angrily as she stared at her sister with an expression Tracy knew too well.

“I know what you’re going to say Tricia.” Tracy said cutting off from her sister’s thinking. “I’m just only asking you to think about it. I know you want to keep her safe from what’s out there - I do too. But if we keep looking for the stone like this and we get caught into something we’re not supposed to...who’d you think they’d go after first?”

Tricia shook her head, not wanting to even think about this. It was true. What Tracy said...even if she didn’t like the idea of it. But she was right of course. She then looked at Tracy with a sad smile, crossing her arms.

“Since when did you suddenly act all mature like this?” Tricia asked her.

Tracy just stared back, the suit of armour face still in it's stoic frown. “When it concerns Annie or you or anyone I care about.” Tricia opened her mouth to say something but closed it.

The Colonel’s not going to like this. Argh, the hell with it. Why the hell should I care what that bastard thinks? He’s already going to be annoyed about me blowing up a building...but it wasn’t my fault! So I got a little carried away...but that’s only because the bastard wouldn’t shut up and ran away..Thank god we got to him in time...Tricia thought already imagining what her conversation with the Colonel will be like. Tricia groaned frustrated as she got up looking directly at Tracy. “Fine, I’ll think about this.” She glanced towards Annie and looked at her with her eyes narrowed. “But don’t get your hopes up Annie if the answer’s no, do you understand?”

“But…” Annie pleaded while Tricia turned to look at her sister with a sigh.

“I don’t want to hear it,” Tricia said with her arms crossed. “This is really dangerous Annie. This isn’t like when we were kids heading to Central for the first time. Do you even remember how much trouble you got into back then?” Annie grumbled in annoyance. She did remember, but she didn’t want to admit it in front of her sister.

“Annie, I’m asking you a question.” Tricia looked between her sisters and sighed.

“I remember.” Annie said with an exasperated sigh.

Tricia looked ready to say something but her eyes caught the time on the clock and they widened.

“Shit, I gotta get going. See you two later.” Tricia said as Tracy frowned at her sister.

“Aren’t you going to eat?” Tracy asked as Tricia shook her head.

“Nah. I’ll eat later, I’m going to head down to see the Colonel now and meet you guys there.” Tricia said as she opened the door and then closed it shut. Tracy and Annie looked at each other before the youngest let out a small sigh and slowly resumed eating her breakfast.
Soo after probably a month or so I finally finished this damned thing. My Fullmetal Alchemist inspired story. I rewrote the prologue as I thought the original revealed just a bit by what happened. I mean not a lot as I was still kinda vague but you guys could easily guess what's going on if you're familiar with the Fullmetal Alchemist series so I tried not to reveal much with the flashback. Spent half of the night after Anime Boston on Saturday to work on this. ^^; It took me a while to go back and fix all the punctuation errors. I really have to work on that. ^^; My descriptions also need better work. I mean..sure the flashback was an improvement...but...I'm still having a lot of trouble with writing descriptions. I spent the majority of February looking at various writing videos specifically those by Jenna Moreci. And some other writing videos here on deviantART. :) And they've proven to be SERIOUSLY helpful with not only my fanfiction, but my bios too. I highly recommend checking her out. There are a lot of writing tutorials on YouTube and on here if anyone really wants to improve on their writing.

Mrs. Campbell is an OC I created for Pinako Rockbell.  I'll try to work on her appearance soon along with the boy whose playing Winry.

There is a small change with the role Wing played. She's not going to be playing Roy Mustang. As I don't want to completely kick her out of the fanmake. I talked about it with :iconangelthewingedcat: and she's now going to be Paninya instead. Instead the role will now be played by Ragna the Bloodedge from the Blazblue series.

Huge thanks to :iconangelthewingedcat: and :icontimeboy08: for helping me out with this chapter with the edits. I really do appreciate it you two.

And sorry about the long wait with this chapter. Meant to upload it earlier today but I got really nervous for some reason. ^^;

Please don't forget to review. I accept constructive criticism as well as just a simple 'great job'.
